This picture of Grandpa, Dad, Ralph, Carlyle and Curtis, was taken about 1934??? in front of Granpa and Grandma Smiths home. The home still stands, but the front porch is no longer there. The porch was enclosed, and a third bedroom was added, the kitchen, bathroom, and living room were all re-aranged. Most of the trees that were around the house are gone, however one of the crab apple trees on the west of the house is still there. All of the original outside buildings are gone. They were burned in a fire. How the main house kept from burning is a miracle. The fire and how it got started is funny now, but at the time it could have been really tragic. I will save the telling of the fire for anothe time. Jerry
